Carnew National School is a  Catholic school under the patronage of the Bishop of Ferns. It sets out to  impart a good knowledge of the Catholic faith to its pupils and to help them  respect our heritage and culture. While doing so it also aims to nurture a  tolerance and understanding of other cultures, traditions and religious  beliefs.   It is the objective of the  school that all the partners in education involving management, principal,  staff, pupils and parents should foster a spirit of partnership and  co-operation for the good of the school. We strive to create a school  environment where both teachers and pupils achieve a sense of fulfillment.

Art – Construction

In art class, we sometimes have to construct things. This is really fun. Here are photos of our Valentines and Easter art which were based on the construction strand.

Project Winners

Everyone in 2nd Class was learning how to write reports. We did reports on Dolphins, Tigers and Grey Wolves. Then we decided to do a bigger project on Grey Wolves. It was very interesting and we learned a lot!! Miss Noctor awarded four pupils for their ‘outstanding’ work. Our reports and projects are now on display in our classroom.
