Painting like Picasso

In our English reader, The Grumpy Teaspoon, we were reading about Picasso. He was an artist. This is a picture he painted of his friend Dora Maar. Picasso liked to use bright colors, and when he was painting faces, he liked to do so from two points of view – straight and side profile. He often put eyes or lips in the wrong places. We decided to paint portraits just like Picasso. It was great fun.

Electricity

Today we were learning all about electricity. We watched some really good videos and played some interactive games. We found learning this way really fun. We now know that electricity is a form of energy and it can do amazing things like light things, heat things and make them move.
